It’s fall hair color season in Madison, WI and we are well equipped
This fall we’re seeing blondes craving a change, dimensional brunettes and warm vivids that really shine, while the year of Covid 2020, many clients are being ambitious and trying out vivid hair color combinations for their first time.
As the leaves change, the sky gets more grey, the outside air is cooler and we start thinking about warm things: pumpkin, apple cinnamon, warm vanilla.. clients typically change their hair color to match these vibes. Whether we come up with a subtle tonal change to a brunette for a bit more of a red reflection, or add some highlights into a cool “bronde” with some dramatic pieces of caramel tones. There’s so many fun ways to custom these hues.
This fall we’re seeing lots of cherry/velvety dimensional reds, pastel pinks, glossy cool brunettes, bright honey blondes, brunettes going lighter while leaving a shadow root, or blondes adding depth with a shadow root, and bold face framing (“money-piece) caramel highlights are all the rage at this time and we are having a fun time creating/customizing these looks!
For our vivid fashion colors, our shadow roots can help someone who is trying a new look ease into it, and keep it lower maintenance, sometime this is a more natural looking color, or those looking to go more bold may use a darker shade of their vivid color for the shadow root. Our blondes transitioning to a fall look have been doing anything from adding some golden low lights and/or a warm shadow root, and even adding many different shades of pastel pinks to soft rose gold tones for a beautiful, soft fall hue! Brunettes are adding a head full of balayage highlights and asking for them to be toned to a cool shade of light brown for that “bronde” color with a cool, shiney finish, perfect for the chilly weather that is to come! Then there’s those bold guests always looking for something completely new, recommending a new shade of vibrant cherry/velvet red, even a redish violet will put these trend setters ahead of the game, and will really POP on those beautiful fall, sunny days. This fall these new shades of color have me super excited to be in the salon, giving my clients some exciting color, I just love our abilities with the Pulp Riot color line to achieve these new, custom looks!
